OST LAUNCHES FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT OUR VETERANS

OST supports veterans as they transition to civilian life through an annual fundraising event to provide donations to two charities that specifically target the transition process. OST’s goal is to raise a minimum of $5,000 for Final Salute Inc. and Operation First Response’s Military Family Assistance Program.

Final Salute Inc. takes a three-pronged approach to addressing the issues associated with the homelessness of women Veterans: Awareness. Assistance. Aspiration. More information can be found here: http://www.finalsaluteinc.org/

Operation First Response’s Military Family Assistance Program services include airline flights, lodging, and car transportation to/from airport and hospital. They also provide financial support for the basics like groceries, clothing, mortgage, rent, utilities, and vehicle payments. More information can be found here: https://www.operationfirstresponse.org/

“As President John F. Kennedy said, ‘We express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.’ OST is living by these words and supporting our Veterans this holiday season by campaigning for some good causes. Operation First Response and Final Salute are in the trenches helping our veterans and their families; there is no better cause in my mind,” explained Michael Costanzo, OST Recruiter and Iraqi Freedom Veteran.

OST’ians can participate by donating through OST YouCaring site page. Click “DONATE NOW” button on the widget to the right.

Employees in the Maryland and Virginia offices also have the opportunity to donate at the front desk in their offices.

OST is proud to support and employ our Veterans. OST will participate in the Recruit Military job fair being held in Orlando, FL on December 16, 2017, as part of the ongoing effort to meet the needs of our customers by finding highly skilled candidates with a history of service to our country.
