OST Pays Tribute to Military Service Members and Supports Operation Jump-StartWashington, D.C., January 2012 – OST is a proud, patriotic sponsor of the 8th Annual Operation Jump-Start taking place at the Army Navy Club in Arlington, Virginia on January 25, 2012, 5:30-8:30 p.m. OST is currently running a company-wide drive to collect professional clothing, money, and gift certificate donations and OST employees will be volunteering at the event. Donations will also be accepted onsite. Operation Jump-Start assists members of our military in their transition from service to civilian life as they return from Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). As OIF and OEF wind down and soldiers return to American soil, they, along with their families, may be recovering from injury, are adjusting to meet emotional or educational needs, and above all are striving to build new lives. Donations collected for Operation Jump-Start will go directly to support these service members. This is the second time that OST has participated in Operation Jump-Start. “OST is thrilled to participate in Operation Jump-Start again,” said OST’s Ron Rhodes. “OST employee enthusiasm has been overwhelming, because we all want to show our support to those who have sacrificed so much for us, for those that allow us to go about our lives freely. When service women and men see how much the community cares, it gives them a big boost.” As soldiers return home to varying circumstances, Operation Jump-Start advocates for these men and women by recommending donations appropriate for two phases. The goal of phase “Still in the Hospital, Keeping In Touch, Building Strength,” is to provide cash or gift cards to coffee shops, grocery stores, or drugstores to service members that are recovering from injury, or need assistance on a deposit or a bill payment. Phase “Transitioning to the Workforce, Moving Up and Out” will help our fellow Americans dress for success as they transition from the warzone to the workforce. Operation Jump-Start will collect gently worn, dry cleaned professional clothing (marked with gender and size for easy distribution). Formal wear will also be accepted, as these service members and their significant others are often invited to attend formal functions. To register for the event, go to www.operationjumpstartdc.org. Operation Jump-Start will accept donations of money or gift cards following the event. ### About OSTOST (www.ostglobal.com) is a provider of management consulting, integrated information technology, engineering services, and business process outsourcing to the aviation, defense, financial, health, insurance, transportation, and utility industries.
