Washington, D.C., January 2019 – Ajay Madan, a Principal and the Chief Operating Officer of OST, Inc., was elected the 2019 DC Chamber of Commerce Chairperson. As chairperson, Mr. Madan seeks to build upon the work of past DC Chamber chairs and DC business leaders. He will focus on a number of priorities, including:
- Ensuring that the DC Chamber remains the broadest business organization in DC by deepening our work with small, medium, large, non-profit, international businesses, and higher education institutions.
- Amplifying the voice of our member businesses to key policymakers in the District, as well as the region, elevating the level of discussion on key issues, and harmonizing relationships to achieve our collective priorities.
- Advancing our DC Chamber programs and delivering strong value in the areas of advocacy, education, and connection, so that the Chamber is not only the voice of business in the District but the place of business.
- Attracting emerging leaders from all sectors, and all generations, to work on contemporary issues of common interest.
Incorporated in the nation’s capital in 1938, the DC Chamber of Commerce seeks to address the needs of all businesses in the District of Columbia. The DC Chamber provides invaluable tools that help businesses develop, while also leveraging relationships with key contacts in the DC Council and Federal government to improve the business climate and attract new businesses to the District.
